November this year sees GB softball be taking one of the strongest teams ever to take on the rest of world at the Headquarters of World softball in Plant City, Florida

In recent years Bristol has featured heavily in the new recruits being given the opportunity to shine on a world stage.

This year is no different with no less than 8 Bristol connected softballers  being selected to participate ..

Kat Golik – The Jets, and Bristol Fastpitch.  Bristol Div 1 – Plays Outfield 3rd base and Outfield. Kirstie Leach – Guppy spotters Bristol Div 1 – Plays 3rd, 1st and Outfield, Mike MacDowell Sliders Bristol Div 1 and Bristol baseball – Plays Outfield, David Grey, Sliders Bristol Div 1 – Plays middle infield. David Lee – Jets , Bristol Div 1 – GB Assistant Coach. Pete Saunders , The Bucs Bristol Div 2 – World class Umpire ( that’ll be a fiver Pete )

All these players are of course self funded – each player will need to spend between £900 – 1200 of their own money to participate.   There is no subsidy from the BSF or any freebies given out .. so if you , your company or even anyone you know would like to help with their costs in representing their country (and Bristol) by providing direct sponsorship or practical help for pre-event training or airport transport or indeed anything !   –   please contact David Lee – 07768822464 or davididlee@hotmail.com

The BSA would like to state publicly how proud we are of them all, and to pass on a hearty congratulations to all for succeeding in selection – we’ll be watching the live feed and the daily reports from the event with keen interest 

The warm up matches start on Sunday 13th and the World cup begins on Thursday  17th , the finals will be on Sunday 20th – keep an eye out for  the live feed available from the BSF web site or the ISF web site nearer the time
