What do we offer at BSA?
Want to improve your game? Our qualified coaches run regular training, a great opportunity to improve your game or to keep your skills honed. Weekly outdoor sessions run during the first half of the summer season and a series of indoor evening sessions are organised during the off-season.
The Bristol Softball Association has a long history of providing quality coaching for all levels of play. All our coaches are nationally qualified with years of experiences and hundreds of coaching hours.
Outdoor Training
Usually held at our league fields – Clifton College, Abbotts Leigh. During the season there are open training sessions held 6.30 to 8.30 p.m. on Mondays, using starting on the last Monday in April – watch out for announcements on the Bristol softball Facebook site. These sessions are primarily aimed at beginners and intermediate but all players are welcome. All balls, bases bats and gloves are provided for use, all in a friendly welcoming atmosphere to help you improve your game.
There is a small charge for these events of £5 per head.
2026 Outdoor Training Information
WHERE: Watson Fields, Clifton College Sports Grounds
TIME: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
DATES: Every Monday night from 27th April until 3rd August 2026
COST: £5 per session
New and Experienced players are welcome! These sessions are primarily aimed at beginner / intermediate players but all are welcome. All balls, bases, bats and gloves are provided for use, all in a friendly welcoming atmosphere to help you improve your game. We can’t wait to see you out there!
Indoor Training
Pre-season indoor training is hosted from Jan to March each year. The BSA hold a series of indoor coaching sessions, normally on a Friday evening or Sunday afternoon for two hours, starting at 6.30 p.m. followed by a social beer at the nearest pub. There is a small charge of £5 to cover the cost of the sports hall.
